About Dino Run
Dino Run is a fast, free dinosaur game you can play right here in your browser, online or completely offline. You are Dash, a small raptor with a big orange scarf, sprinting through an endless pixel desert. Rocks, yuccas, fallen logs and rusty car wrecks block the path, and armored beetles buzz in at two different heights. Jump, duck and keep running: every metre counts.
The game is styled like the Java phone games of the mid-2000s: chunky pixels, a tiny chiptune soundtrack and a blinking "press any key" title screen. On a computer it even sits inside a little retro phone with working softkeys. It loads in a moment, and once you have visited the page it keeps working when your Wi-Fi drops, on a plane or anywhere else with no signal.
How to play the dino game
- Press Start on the title screen, then choose New Game.
- Dash starts running on his own. Jump over anything on the ground.
- Duck under beetles flying at head height. Low beetles skimming the sand must be jumped.
- Your score is the distance you cover. Every 100 points the run gets faster; every 500 points day turns into night.
- Touch anything and the run is over. Press jump to try again instantly.

Tips and tricks for a high score
Tap for small obstacles, hold for big ones
A short tap clears rocks and shrubs with time to spare and gets you back on the ground sooner, ready for the next obstacle. Save the long, held jump for logs and car wrecks, which are wide enough to catch you on the way down.
Use the fast fall
Pressing duck in mid-air slams Dash back to the ground. At high speed this is the secret to surviving two obstacles that arrive close together: jump the first one, drop straight down, and jump again.
Read the beetle's height early
Beetles flying at head height cannot touch you while you duck, and the low ones only threaten your feet. Decide as soon as they appear on the right edge of the screen rather than at the last moment, especially after night falls and contrast drops.
Watch the rhythm, not the raptor
Keep your eyes on the right third of the screen. By the time an obstacle reaches Dash it is too late to react at top speed; good runners time jumps by where the obstacle is, not where the dinosaur is.
Dino Run FAQ
Is Dino Run free to play?
Yes. Dino Run is completely free, runs in your browser and needs no download or account. Signing in is optional and only used for online leaderboards.
Can I play the dino game offline?
Yes. Open the page once while connected and the whole arcade is saved by your browser. After that Dino Run loads and plays with no internet at all. You can also install the arcade as an app from the footer.
Is this the Chrome dinosaur game?
No. Dino Run is an original game inspired by the endless-runner genre. The raptor, the desert, the obstacles, the sounds and the code were all created from scratch for NoInternet Arcade.
How do I jump higher?
Hold the jump button. A quick tap gives a short hop; holding Space or your finger for a moment gives a high, long jump.
Why does the game get faster?
The run speeds up every 100 points until it reaches a top speed. Gaps between obstacles shrink a little too, so your timing has to get sharper the longer you survive.
Does Dino Run work on phones and tablets?
Yes. Tap Play and the game fills your screen with large touch buttons. Tap the right half to jump and the left half (or swipe down) to duck. It works in portrait and landscape.
How do online high scores work?
Your best scores are always saved on your device. Sign in with your email to also post them on the daily and all-time Dino Run leaderboards.
